• Define and discuss core security concepts including the CIA triad.

• Describe the relationship between vulnerabilities, risks, controls, and the accumulation of security debt

• Identify common threat actors and explain how risk management and controls can reduce security debt

• Evaluate the business case for early cybersecurity involvement

• Recognise key global frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and the NCSC CAF.
