Our History

Envista Consulting was born from a moment of inspiration high above the ground. As our founder, Mark Cross, climbed Mount Taranaki in New Zealand, he reflected not just on the physical climb but on the preparation it took to get there—choosing the right gear, building the right skills, and envisioning the path ahead. Looking out over the vast landscape below, he recognized that every meaningful journey—whether reaching a summit or guiding a business through change—requires careful preparation, a clear vision, and the commitment to achieve something truly rewarding. That moment of clarity became the cornerstone of Envista’s philosophy: to help organizations navigate complex change with foresight and preparation, ensuring that every step is taken with security and quality in mind from the very start.

Our Team and Leadership

Led by Mark Cross—founder of the IIBA’s Global Special Interest Group for Cybersecurity and a Chartered IT Professional with the BCS—our leadership combines deep expertise with a passion for making security accessible. Mark is a professional member of ISC2, the BCS, the IIBA, and CIISec, and holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. He was honored as the Business Analyst of the Year at the European Business Analysis Conference 2025.

Mark is also a regular speaker at international conferences, covering topics from emerging threats and post-quantum technologies to the importance of AI readiness. He has spoken at the European Business Analysis Conference, the Building Business Capability Conference in Orlando, the AISA CyberCon in Melbourne, and the BA & Beyond Conference in Antwerp.
